WARRI-THE Chairman of the Chevron branch of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN), Warri, Comrade Udokwe Samuel, Mr. Boyi Joseph and a lady, Precilia Idane were all abducted by unknown gun in Warri in the last four days.

While the lady was released only Tuesday morning after parting with an undisclosed ransom, Boyi and Comrade Udokwe where about are still largely unknown, even as the kidnappers of the latter has dropped their ransom from #20m to #5m.

Staff of Chevron were not prepared to comment on the raid on them by these hoodlums, just as they were not also willing to involve the security agencies in their quest to secure the release of their colleagues from the kidnappers den for fear of the consequences to the victim.

It was gathered that the PENGASSAN Chairman was billed to hold a meeting with his exco members and management, Tuesday morning when he was abducted Monday night with the abductors communicating both his Pastor and relations over the ransom for his release.

Sources disclosed that when his pastor told the thieves that they can only raise #100,000.00 of the #5m demanded from members of the Church, they got angry and threatened to kill their victim, insisting that they put more effort to raise good amount as they were determined to snuff the life out of him.

Meanwhile, other PENGASSAN members of Chevron have made high level contacts at Abuja to explore ways and means of securing the safe release of their embattled chairman, even as the now released lady Idane Pricillia is reported to be receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital in Warri to relieve her of the psychological trauma of the incident.

Delta state police public relations officer, ASP Charles Muka told Vanguard on telephone that the matter has not been brought to his attention.
