12 June 2015, News reports – Chinese authorities have inspected six more state companies as the government expands its investigation into corruption at key institutions.
China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (CSIC) was one of the latest companies to face the anti-graft probe by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI), the latter said on Friday.
China Ocean Shipping Company (Cosco) and electrical utility China Huaneng Group were also placed under inspection, CCDI said.
Metals giants Wuhan Iron & Steel and Baosteel were joined by a property construction firm in the latest probe.
Key executives at Chinese energy firms and other state institutions have been investigated and in many cases charged as the country cracks down on perceived long-standing corruption.
