01 July 2015, News Wires – China’s CNOOC Ltd has begun flows from another of its oilfield developments in Bohai Bay.
The Hong Kong-listed player, a subsidiary of China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), said on Tuesday that production has started from its Bozhong 28/34 oilfields comprehensive adjustment project.
The fields are located in water depths of approximately 22 metres.
The project consists of three sub-projects: namely Bozhong 28-2S oilfields comprehensive adjustment project; Bozhong 34-1 oilfield comprehensive adjustment project; and Bozhong 34-2/4 oilfield comprehensive adjustment project.
The main production facilities of the project include six offshore platforms and 79 producing wells.
Currently 39 production wells are producing around 22,000 barrels per day of oil, with design peak of 30,000 expected to be reached next year.
CNOOC Ltd operates the fields on 100%.
