23 April 2015, News Wires – Chinese giant CNOOC Ltd has kicked off production at the Kenli 10-1 oilfield in Bohai, with peak output set for some time next year.
The 100% operator of the field is now producing around 10,750 barrels per day of crude oil from 12 producing wells at the field.
CNOOC Ltd expects to hit peak production of some 36,000 bpd from 70 producing wells in 2016.
The field sits in an average of 17 metres of water. Facilities comprised a central processing platform and two wellhead platforms.
