Towing RIG27 June 2013 – China Offshore Oilfield Services Limited has signed agreements for the construction of 15 vessels across five shipyards.

The company ordered one output enhancement vessel, four 6000 horse power platform supply vessels, two 9000 HP PSVs, two 8000 HP anchor handling tug supply vessels, four 12,000 HP AHTS vessels and two 15,000 HP AHTS vessels.

COSL did not name the shipyards constructing the vessels but did reveal that they would be delivered between January and August 2015.

The company said the vessels would enhance its capabilities in deep-water operations, addressing China’s demand for offshore oil and gas exploration and development.
