17 June 2015, Lagos—A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, Tuesday, ordered the arrest and detention of a vessel laden with 5,000 metric tonnes of kerosene over an alleged breach of contract.
The cargo, covered by an allocation letter by the Pipelines and Products Marketing Company Limited, PPMC, is on board MT Sea Pioneer on Lagos waters.
Trial judge, Justice Chukwujekwu Aneke made the order following an application by a petroleum products dealer, Stallionaire Nigeria Limited, who sued Acorn Petroleum Plc, Pipeline Product Marketing Company, PPMC and others.
