05 October 2015, Sweetcrude, London – Indications are that the trial of Diezani Alsion-Madueke, Nigeria’s former Minister of Petroleum Resources may have commenced in London, United Kingdom, after she was sighted at the Westminister Magistrate Court in London earlier today.
Writing on his Twitter handle, BBC correspondent, Sam Piranty disclosed Mrs. Alison-Madueke was at the Westminster Magistrates Court, Central London on Monday.
He did not confirm if charges have been brought against the embattled minister who arrived the court at 10.00 am.
She was said to have arrived alongside her mother, Beatrice Agama who is also facing money laundering probe.
Mr. Piranty confirmed that Alison Diezani-Madueke was at Westminster Magistrates court at 10 this morning.”
He said the former Minister had earlier reported at the Charring Cross Police Station from where she was apparently moved to the Westminster Court.
Mrs. Alison-Madueke was arrested in London last Friday alongside four others.
The UK Crime Agency has not revealed the identities of the other four Nigerians arrested alongside Diezani Alison-Madueke.
