Port Harcourt — The Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company, PHED, says it has made adequate plans to ensure that her customers in Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River and Rivers states enjoy Easter holidays with improved power supply.
The Chief Executive Officer of PHED, Mr Naveen Kapoor, announced this during a strategic meeting held with the staff members in Port Harcourt.
Kapoor charged all customer- interfacing staff to be dedicated with a view to achieving customers’ satisfaction, especially during the Easter holidays when they are celebrating with their family members.
The CEO also urged customers to report any fault that would impede them from not getting supply to the nearest PHED office or call her 24/7 centre 0700CALLPHED,[070022557433] for immediate resolution that would subsequently lead to restoration of power supply to their area.

According to him, “A 24-hour technical surveillance team has been put on stand-by to ensure that the service lines are completely free from faults. In the event of faults occurring, they would be promptly cleared.
“We are not leaving any stone unturned during Easter Holidays. We want to ensure that our customers celebrate it with supply and that’s why we strategically dedicated the technical team for prompt fault clearing,” he said.
Kapoor, however, urged customers to reciprocate to the company’s kind gesture by ensuring that their electricity bill is settled before travelling out of their place.
This, he said would encourage PHED to do more in terms of network expansion and provision of electrical materials, among others.
He added: “Customers can pay from the comfort of their homes when they log on to www.phed.com.ng; click on payment icon for online vending and they can also dial *322*1*86001*Amount# and send for post-paid customers.”
