Mkpoikana Udoma 02 September 2014, Sweetcrude, Port Harcourt – The Obio/Akpor Local Government Council has called on oil companies and corporate organisations operating in Rivers State to acquire infrared equipments to detect employees, clients and customers infected with Ebola virus.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Caretaker Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Council, Mr. Lawrence Chuku.
The Obio/Akpor Council boss also advised proprietor of schools as well as religious leaders to introduce cleaning of hands with sanitisers in their places to avoid the spread of Ebola.
In the same vein, the Caretaker Chairman of Akuku-Toru Local Government Council, Mr. Stanley Benibo, also called on health workers as well as market women in Rivers State to ensure proper sanitation.
Mr. Benibo who made the call in a statement, urged barbers and hairdressing saloons to ensure proper sterilisation of their equipments so as to curb the spread of Ebola virus in the state.
He also advised people not to ignore the issue of Ebola.
