28 September 2014, Lagos – Comrade Jude Ukori  is a member of the ruling People’s Democratic Party, PDP, from Egbema Kingdom in Warri North local government are of Delta  State.

He is also the executive secretary of Egbema Gbaramatu Communities Development Foundation EGCDF, a non-governmental organization. In this interview, Ukori speak on the  political leadership of Chief Emmanuel Ebimami and the prevailing peace in Egbema Kingdom.

    Political agitations in Egbema Kingdom
We have had series of political agitations in Egbema Kingdom. However the political situation in the kingdom is being handled well by stakeholders and  the situation is getting better.  Particularly now that we have Chief Emmanuel Ebimami as the political leader of Egbema, his era will  enhance the political fortunes of Egbema.

We may have faced political challenges in the past, it was because we had no leadership structure, but, today, we have a leadership structure led by Ebimami, and it is obvious the structure is  yielding positive results.

The development of Egbema is the collective responsibility of every son and daughter of Egbema Kingdom, and we can only achieve that when we are united, live in peace and harmony. And I want to thank  our brothers and sisters in Egbema for supporting the political leadership structure led by Ebimami. Let me also appeal to my people to sustain the tempo believing that in the near future we will get to the promised land.

The recent meeting convened by Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan on the political situation in Warri North was positive and commendable. Ebimami’s leadership is committed to the political upliftment and development of Egbema Kingdom.

Moreso, I want to use this opportunity to appreciate the governor, Dr. Uduaghan for having confidence in Ebimami and we all know that with such cordial relationship between the governor and Ebimami, believe me, Egbema is being positioned for the best.

We also have a traditional ruler, His Royal Majesty, Gold Oro Tiemo, Bini Pere III, the Agadagba of Egbema Kingdom, a king whose reign has been a blessing to the people. In spite of our political challenges, Egbema is still one of the most peaceful in Niger Delta region and Nigeria in general. We are blessed with abundant human and minerals resources, while our people filled with love and desiring a brighter future.

Effect of  abundant human and minerals resources in Egbema
Yes, we do have both in abundance. Unfortunately, we are yet to feel the full impact of our minerals resources.  Oil companies operating in our kingdom are executing some projects, scholarships being offered to our children but the truth is that we need rapid infrastructural development across all the communities in Egbema.

However, now that we have leadership structure led by Ebimami, I am very sure that all these issues and challenges will be addressed accordingly and in no distance time things will take appropriate shape.

Ebimami has been contributing immensely to the political development of Egbema kingdom.
Most importantly, the political situation in Egbema is under control and I want to give kudos to him for his commitments and unrelenting efforts.

Despite our challenges it is known all over Nigeria and Niger Delta that our traditional ruler, His Royal Majesty, Gold Oro Tiemo, Bini Pere III, the Agadagba of Egbema kingdom, is an ambassador peace. It is also known that our political leader, Ebimami is an ambassador peace. So, we having such a wonderful traditional ruler and political leader, they are blessings to us in Egbema.

On Chief Ebimami, as a member of the board of Federal Character Commission
I appreciate President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan to have considered our political leader worthy for the appointment. Uduaghan recommended our political leader for the appointment, we are also grateful to the governor.
