13 March 2014, Cairo – Egyptian Minister of State for Environmental Affairs Laila Iskandar said the ministry is now working on benefiting from successful experiments of using agricultural waste such as rice straw in energy purposes in a move meant to achieve sustainable development.
Iskandar’s remark was made on Thursday 13/3/2014 during a symposium, themed “Successful Experiments of Using Agricultural Waste in Energy Field.”
The seminar is part of efforts aimed at creating new job opportunities through environment investment, according to the minister.
