Fire at Ekpan Tankers Park near Warri Refinery
01 October 2016, Warri – Several petroleum tankers have so far been destroyed in a fire outbreak at the Ekpan Tankers Park near the Warri Refinery in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.
The inferno which began at about 7pm on Friday was still raging at about 10am on Saturday.
Fire fighters from the Delta State Fire Service, the Nigeria Gas Company and Chevron are still battling to put off the fire.
As of the of time of filing this report, the fire was still raging, creating heavy gridlock along the express as many residents are deserting their homes.
