15 October 2013, Lagos – Nigeria’s indigenous major marketer of refined petroleum products, Forte Oil Plc, has entered into a partnership agreement with a leading telecommunications company, MTN Nigeria, to jointly improve customers’ experience through the provision of ‘Visible, Impactful, Stable, Appealing (VISA)’ kiosks at selected Forte Oil service stations nationwide.
Head of Brand and Corporate Communications of Forte Oil, Mr. Odion Aleobua, said in a statement at the weekend that the partnership aligns with his company’s vision of making its retail outlets a one-stop-shop for robust customers’ shopping experience, beyond refueling of vehicles.
Aleobua stated that at the VISA 3,000 kiosks, Forte’s customers, who are MTN subscribers, would enjoy a complete customer care service such as SIM swaps, bill payments, SIM registration, query resolutions, sale of airtime and other bouquet services right on the forecourt.
He noted that these services would be in addition to fuels and lubricants purchases as well as sundry services such as groceries, laundry, car wash and auto repair.
“In the first phase of the project, MTN will deploy 100 VISA3000 kiosks to selected service stations nationwide. This is poised to increase significantly to 200 at the second phase of the deployment exercise,” he said.
The Group Chief Executive Officer of Forte Oil Plc, Mr. Akin Akinfemiwa, stated that as the foremost indigenous oil marketing company, his company would be constantly seeking opportunities to meet and surpass the customers’ needs through the provision of value- added services.
