07 September 2012, Sweetcrude, ADO EKITI—PETROL scarcity has hit Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State capital and other major towns in the state, a development that has led to hike in prices of petroleum products in the state.
The scarcity was noticed first on Monday with only two fuel stations selling the product.
As at Thursday, aside the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, mega-station that was selling the product ,others were out of stock.
The scarcity is forcing many motorists to travel to the neighboring states of Ondo, Osun and Kogi to buy petrol At the time press, almost 80 per cent of the filling stations located in and out of Ado-Ekiti are now under lock and key, while the few ones selling the product sold at N110 per litre.
