    Host community scores TEPNG high on CSR

    Port Harcourt — Egi clan, host community to OML58, operated by the Total Exploration and Production Nigeria Limited, TEPNG, has rated the company high, in corporate social responsibility and community relations.

    To this end, Egi clan which also play host to the Nigerian Agip Oil Company, as well as the Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited, assured the French oil firm of continuous support.

    Speaking, Egi Clan Joint Community Development Chairman, Mr. Morrison Japhet, described the French multinational as excellent in community relations.

    Japhet, who was reacting to the relief materials recently donated by TEPNG to flood victims in the area, said other multinationals operating in the area were also contacted for assistance, but no response.

    According to him, “TEPNG is number one when it comes to community relations.

    “Few months ago, they (TEPNG) were here to support us with palliatives during COVID19 lockdown, now they are here again to support us during this flood.

    “When this flood started, we also contacted Agip, but up till now Agip is nowhere to be found.

    “We will give Total our total support to ensure the company succeed.”
