    Ijaw community commends navy commander

    14 August, Sweetcrude, WARRI- NAIFOR Island, an Ijaw community in Ogbe-Ijoh kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State has commended the Commanding Officer, Nigeria Navy Service, NNS, Delta, Warri, Commodore H.A. Babalola for donating food items worth millions of Naira to the people.

    Chairman of the newly inaugurated executive of the community, Mr. Naira Hitler in a statement said, “With our heartfelt gratitude, the entire Naifor Island community, including chiefs, leaders, men and women, use this medium to appreciate your wonderful friendly visit to Naifor Island community”.

    “During the visit, rice, groundnut oil, omo, salt, pepper, garri and other food items, worth million of naira was provided to the community head, Chief, Hon. Tony Kuku and he equally handed over the items to the newly inaugurated executive, led by the chairman, Mr. Naira Hitler and his secretary, James Omare Oyimi and other members respectively”, the statement added.

    In his acceptance speech soon after his inauguration, Mr. Hitler said, “With the power vested on me and the mandate given to me, I will honestly discharge my duty to create positive change in the community in terms of generating employment for the youths, infrastructural development and human capacity development in line three-point agenda of Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan”.

    Other members of the executive are Stanley Goodboy -vice chairman, James Omare Oyimi- secretary, Dele Polo-public relations officer, Lucky Oguta, treasurer, Timi Fadah- assistant public relations officer, Frank Polo- financial secretary, Anthony Youbai and Godwin Okiki- ex-officio members.
