Mkpoikana Udoma 09 July 2016, Sweetcrude, Port Harcourt – As part of the reorganisation of the Joint Military Taskforce, JTF, operating in the Niger Delta region, a new coordinator for the Joint Media Campaign Centre, JMCC, has been posted to Operation Delta Safe.

Recall that Operation Delta Safe in June 2016 replaced the defunct Operation Pulo Shield which was saddled with the responsibility of combating oil theft, illegal refinery operations and pipeline vandalism in the region.
Operation Delta Safe is expected to tackle the emerging militancy issues and other security challenges in the Niger Delta which has reduced Nigeria’s crude oil production from 2.2 million bpd to one million bpd.
A statement by the JMCC says Lt. Col. Olaolu Marcellinius Daudu has replaced Col. Ado Isa who has been posted to Training and Doctrine of the Nigerian Army, TRADOC, as the Deputy Director, Army Public Relations.
Until his appointment as coordinator of the JMCC, Daudu was the immediate past Deputy Commandant, Nigerian Army School of Public Relations and Information, NASPRI, Bonny Camp, Lagos state.
