19 November 2013, News Wires – Operations at Libya’s western Mellitah oil terminal have returned to normal and the El Feel field that supplies the port will ramp up production from Wednesday as oil loadings resume, a spokesman at the National Oil Corp (NOC) said.
“The situation there is now normal and we are operating as normal,” NOC spokesman Mohammed al-Harari told Reuters. “There have been no protesters in the port since Saturday.”
Shipping sources and Reuters AIS Live ship tracking showed that the LR2 Poseidon had loaded oil from Mellitah on Monday. Another tanker, the Stealth Haralambos, was loading at the terminal on Tuesday, trading sources and tracking showed.
