24 May 2014, News Wires – The chairman of Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC) has resigned with no explanation given for his departure, according to a report.
Nuri Berruien has stepped down from the top post at the state-owned oil producer, Reuters reported on Friday, citing an NOC spokesperson.
The apparent resignation comes as Libya continues to struggle to boost production as much infrastructure remains crippled.
Worker protests and assets damage have held back output growth, while key export terminals remain out of action.
