    Massive fire rocks Nigeria Agip Oil Company facility in Rivers

    Port Harcourt — A massive fire has broke out from an oil facility belonging to the Nigerian Agip Oil Company, NAOC, in Ubeta community, Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State.

    The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, as at the time of filling this report.

    The National Oil Spill Detection and Response Agency, NOSDRA, who confirmed the development to our correspondent, said the fire broke out since last night and is currently burning up till this moment.

    Port Harcourt Zonal Director of NOSDRA, Mr. Cyrus Nkangwung, told our correspondent that a JIV team is currently at the scene of the incident, and would give a comprehensive report by tomorrow.
