Port Harcourt — The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board, NCDMB, has inaugurated a fully equipped ICT centre at Community Secondary School, Sangana, in Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, reinforcing its commitment to educational development and digital empowerment.
The ICT center features 31 desktop computers with internet connectivity, a Wowbii Interactive Board, a printing system, a solar-powered inverter system, and a backup power generating set, ensuring uninterrupted learning for students.
Speaking, NCDMB Executive Secretary, Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe, represented by General Manager of Corporate Communications, Esueme Dan Kikile, urged students and the Sangana community to protect and maintain the facility.
“This center is a valuable resource for students and teachers alike. We expect the community to safeguard it, and in the future, we will assess the facility to determine if upgrades or repairs are needed,” he stated.
The school principal, traditional rulers, and community stakeholders praised the NCDMB for the initiative, highlighting that it would boost students’ morale and competitiveness on a global scale.
The NCDMB delegation at the event included Mrs. Peace Oyanbo Owei, a former NCDMB Governing Council member; Mr. Joseph Adebayo, Senior Manager, Projects; and other officials who reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to educational and technological advancements in host communities.
