Port Harcourt — The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board, NCDMB, has opened a Customer Experience Centre at its Port Harcourt Zonal Office, in what the Board describes as a major step toward improving service efficiency and deepening industry compliance.
The facility is designed to ease stakeholder interaction with the Board and streamline access to its regulatory services, particularly the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Joint Qualification System, NOGIC-JQS, and the Nigerian Content Equipment Certification, NCEC.
NCDMB said the new centre would significantly cut processing delays and enhance transparency. “This facility is deliberately created to bring our services closer to operators and eliminate the bottlenecks many stakeholders previously faced,” the Board stated.
The Board is strengthening its customer-facing framework to support businesses. “Whether it is NOGIC-JQS registration or NCEC certification, clients can now walk in and get immediate guidance. This will greatly enhance compliance with the Nigerian Content Act,” the Board noted.
According to the Board, the centre reinforces NCDMB’s push for improved service delivery and seamless stakeholder engagement across the oil and gas value chain.
The Port Harcourt hub would reduce turnaround time for critical industry processes. “Our goal is to ensure that no company is left struggling with registrations or documentation. This centre enhances efficiency and reflects our commitment to customer satisfaction,” the Board said.
Industry players who attended the opening described the initiative as timely, noting the high volume of operators who rely on the zonal office for statutory documentation.
The NCDMB said the Customer Experience Centre aligns with its broader digital optimisation and stakeholder-support agenda, aimed at sustaining confidence in Nigeria’s local content framework and improving ease of doing business within the sector.
