NNPC-TowersChuks Isiwu 14 November 2016, Sweetcrude, Lagos – Mr. Ndu Ughamadu was named as Group General Manager, GGM, of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Public Affairs Division, PAD, in new management changes Monday by the corporation.

Ughamadu, who was GGM, PAD under Dr. Jackson Gaius-Obaseki’s leadership at the NNPC during ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo regime, was earlier in March this year re-engaged in the NNPC as GGM, Government and Labour Relations, by former Group Managing Director Dr. Ibe Kachikwu.

With Ughamadu’s return as spokesman of the corporation, SweetcrudeReports could not confirm what has happened to Mr. Garba Deen Mohammed, who was until Ughamadu’s appointment, the Group General Manager in charge of the NNPC PAD.

Sources said he is now a general manager.

Ughamadu, an economist and veteran journalist, was born on September 24, 1955 in Maiduguri, Borno State, Nigeria. He holds the Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Economics from the University Lagos.

He was spokesman of the NNPC under Gaius-Obaseki in 2002, but was relieved of the appointment by Funso Kupolokun, who replaced Gaius-Obaseki in 2003.

Other appointments effected Monday by the NNPC included Adewala Ajayi Oladipo as now GM Capital Projects, Ahmadu Sambo (GGM Finance), Wunti Maijaima (GM Downstream), Okonkwo Chukwuma (MD, NNPC Capital) and Adekemi Akitoye Adunni (GGM NNPC Learning Development).

Also Chidi Momah was named Secretary to the Corporation while Mrs Umma Musa is now GM, Services Trading.
