    NERC commissions customer complaint forum offices in Sokoto, Kebbi

    The Nigerian Electricity Commission, NERC, has established customer complaints offices in Kebbi, and Sokoto States.

    The two offices are the latest of such NERC’s forums to be opened across the country.

    NERC’s customer complaint forum offices allow customers who are dissatisfied with services provided by his or her DisCos, to make complaints and get them resolved.

    The office in Sokoto was secured and furnished by Kaduna Electric, while that of Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi state was commissioned by the state Deputy Governor, Alhaji Samaila Yombe.

    Both offices were commissioned on Wednesday.

    Those of Calabar and Uyo were commissioned early November.

    Membership of the forum include: one representative of industrial customers to be nominated by the Manufacturers’ Association of Nigeria, MAN, one representative of commercial customers to be nominated by the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mining and Agriculture, one representative of household customers to be nominated by the Consumer Protection Council, CPC, one representative of an Non-Governmental Organisation, NGO based in the distribution licensee’s operating area nominated by the commission, and one nominee based in the distribution licensee’s operating area who has an electrical engineering background nominated by the commission.
