25 November 2018, Sweetcrude, Lagos — The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, NERC, has directed distribution companies to conclude all customer enumeration exercises under their coverage latest by March 31st, 2019.
The ultimatum was contained in a statement by the commission seen by SweetcrudeReports after it directed the utility companies to carry out an extensive customer enumeration to determine their actual customer strength.
According to NERC, customer enumeration will “improve metering”, and help Discos “respond to electricity issues quickly”.
