Port Harcourt — The Port and Terminal Multi-services Limited, PTML, Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has announced that it collected a total of N370,650,709,378.33 in revenue between November 2024, when the B’Odogwu platform was launched, and August 2025.
The outgoing Customs Area Controller, now Assistant Comptroller-General, ACG, Tenny Daniyan, disclosed this during the handover of leadership to his successor, Comptroller Joe Anani, on Friday.
ACG Daniyan described the performance as a landmark achievement for the command, crediting it to the deployment of B’Odogwu and the cooperation of officers and stakeholders.
“Under my leadership, we collected N370,650,709,378.33 using B’Odogwu since its inception in November 2024 to August 2025. I urge you all to keep the faith as we march forward, and I thank the CGC and the Customs Development/Implementation Committee for giving us such a legacy project,” he said.
The outgoing controller further emphasized that strict compliance and collaboration with the trading community were key to the success recorded.
He stressed that smuggling and illegitimate trade were firmly resisted during his tenure. “Only legitimate trade activities were allowed to thrive under my watch,” he declared.
Taking over the mantle of leadership, the new Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Joe Anani, pledged to build on the revenue strides and operational successes achieved by his predecessor.
“My joy is further solidified by the advantage of taking over a well-organised command from my predecessor and superior officer whose tour of duty here has resulted in multiple successes,” he said.
Comptroller Anani, who expressed gratitude to Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, for the opportunity to serve, underscored that the command’s journey ahead required teamwork.
“Our journey to succeed must remain a collective task. I am not here to do it alone,” he stated.
The new CAC commended the PTML Command’s record of two-hour cargo clearance, noting that compliance by stakeholders would remain pivotal to sustaining efficiency.
“Stakeholders’ compliance is key to reducing risks and strengthening trust with trade partners. We will consolidate and improve on this record,” he assured.
ACG Daniyan in his parting words expressed confidence in Comptroller Anani’s ability to take the command to greater heights.
“I urge you all to support the new leadership as you supported me. Comptroller Anani will no doubt achieve remarkable results at PTML,” he said.
