The economy has been bouncing back since COVID-19 disruptions, the National Bureau of Statistics said, however growth in the first quarter was slower than in the fourth quarter of 2021.

The statistics office said crude production in the first quarter fell to 1.49 million barrels per day from 1.72 million barrels in the same quarter of 2021 while the non-oil sector rose 6.08% in the three months to March, up 5.28% from the same period last year.
