Opeoluwani Akintayo 23 August 2017, Sweetcrude, Lagos – The Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN, has said that Nigeria has a stranded power generation of about 2,000 megawatts in the grid.
The Managing Director of TCN, Mr Usman Mohammed, revealed this in a statement.
According to him, the company is collaborating with the governments to resolve transmission challenges in the country.
He also said part of the problem to be resolved is that of right of ways for transmission lines in the country.
The government is sourcing for funds to increase transmission capacity by 20,000 megawatts in a few years’ time, Mohammed also said.
