    Nigerian SMEs shine at Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week

    Port Harcourt — Two Nigerian small and medium enterprises SMEs, Nafarm Foods and D-Olivette Global Enterprise, have gained global recognition at the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, ADSW, held in the United Arab Emirates.

    Nafarm Foods was awarded the Zayed Sustainability Prize in the Food Category for their development of scalable hybrid solar food dryers that preserve food and significantly reduce CO2 emissions.

    Similarly, D-Olivette Global Enterprise, a finalist in the Energy Category, was recognized for its innovative IoT and AI-assisted waste management solution, which improves waste collection efficiency by 40 percent.

    Meanwhile, President Bola Tinubu has lauded both companies for their groundbreaking work, expressing pride in their accomplishments.

    In his congratulatory message, President Tinubu commended the firms for showcasing Nigeria’s potential on the global stage, celebrating their contributions to sustainability and innovation.

    The Zayed Sustainability Prize is a prestigious global award that honors exceptional contributions to sustainability across several categories, including energy, food, water, and health. The prize recognizes innovative solutions that have a measurable and lasting impact on the world’s most pressing challenges.
