Kunle Kalejaye 01 February 2017, Sweetcrude, Lagos –  The Nigerian LNG Limited, NLNG, has boosted the Liquefied Petroleum Gas, LPG, market with an additional 13,000 tonnes to help dose the scarcity of the product following a recent problem with a vessel programmed to get the product to Lagos,

NLNG spokesman, Mr. Tony Okenedo, said the product was discharged in the Lagos jetty through the intervention of Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas, NLNG

The additional 13,000 tonnes translates to 1.4 million, 12.5 kg-size cylinders.

    into the market.

According to Okenedo: “As we speak, development on NLNG effort to supply LPG into the market is that the vessel has loaded LPG in Bonny, has turned around and is back in Lagos. The vessel is behind another vessel and once that vessel completes it process of discharge, the LPG vessel will enter into the discharged facility and offload another 13,000 tonnes.”

Recalled that the LPG vessel, ‘Gaz Providence’ had earlier successfully discharged 13,000 tonnes of LPG into the market.
