Port Harcourt — NNPC Retail Limited has affirmed its commitment to gender inclusivity in technical fields with the successful hosting of She-Fix 2025, an event celebrating female mechanics and women in automotive, technical, and energy sectors.
Held at The Stable Center in Surulere, Lagos, the event attracted over 300 participants, marking this year’s International Women’s Day with the theme “Driving Diversity and Powering Progress.”
The initiative highlighted the role of women in innovation, economic growth, and national development, featuring hands-on activities, technical demonstrations, and engaging discussions.
NNPC Retail’s Managing Director, Huub Stokman, emphasized the company’s vision for female empowerment in traditionally male-dominated industries.
“She-Fix 2025 is more than an event; it is a movement that amplifies women’s contributions and ensures they have a seat at the table in key industries,” he said.
The event also featured Car Care 101 sessions, live car diagnostics, and a marketplace for female-led businesses.
Special discounts on Oleum Lubricants and LPG NR-GAS further underscored NNPC Retail’s support for women in the energy sector.
Recognizing female mechanics for their contributions, NNPC Limited’s Senior Business Adviser, Cyprian Onwuegbu, reiterated the company’s dedication to inclusivity.
“NNPC is steadfast in promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion. She-Fix symbolizes our ongoing commitment to creating an equitable and progressive workplace for women,” he stated.
A key highlight was the panel session titled “Unleashing the Potential of Women for a Stronger Nation,” where industry leaders and policymakers discussed strategies for overcoming workplace barriers and fostering leadership among women.
The event concluded with live entertainment, interactive games, networking opportunities, and the popular spin-the-wheel challenge, which connected participants with mentorship and professional growth opportunities.
