16 September 2011, Sweetcrude, Accra- Norwegian company, Electromagnetic Geoservices (EMGS), has won a $5.5 million seismic survey contract offshore Ghana but details of the deal are still sketchy.

The Norwegian company will under the contract acquire and process 3D electromagnetic data off the coast of Ghana.
EMGS has, however, not revealed details of the contract and the client concerned but hinted that there is more than one player involved, referring to “a new customer partnership”.

The survey will kick off in early October with EMGS using its vessel BOA Galatea.

A number of significant oil and gas players are involved in operations off Ghana including Hess, Tullow, Lukoil and Eni.
