    Peterside, new NIMASA DG, assumes office

    Kunle Kalejaye 17 March 2016, Sweetcrude, Lagos – The newly-appointed Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA, Dr. Dakuku Adolphus Peterside, assumed office Tuesday in Lagos.

    On assumption of office, he solicited the support of the staff and stakeholders in the maritime industry to reposition ‎the agency for greater productivity.

    Dr. Peterside made the appeal at the agency’s head office in 4 Burma Road, Apapa, Lagos‎.

     On arrival at NIMASA’s head office t about 12 noon, the new DG immediately went into a closed-door meeting with members of senior management of the agency.

    During the meeting, he maintained that there were competent hands in the agency, noting that he was in NIMASA to serve the nation and humanity.

    He expressed his readiness to partner all stakeholders with a view to positively impacting the maritime sector and the Nigerian economy at large.
