Rio De Janeiro — Brazilian state-run oil giant Petrobras is mulling building a petrochemical plant at its Boaventura Energy Complex, an executive said on Friday, as the firm officially inaugurated the complex previously known as Gaslub in Rio de Janeiro.
“We are discussing a petrochemical plant at Gaslub,” Petrobras’ Industrial Processes head William Franca said. “Our CEO’s guidance is to speed up projects to make Petrobras more profitable and meet its social function.”
