13 August 2012, Sweetcrude, UMUAHIA – STRIKING workers of the National Union of Electricity Workers, NUEE, Monday shut the Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN, office in Umuahia.
They claimed their action was in compliance with the directives of NUEE national headquarters regarding unresolved issues with the Federal Government.
Reports said the PHCN office at No. 3 Bende Street in Umuahia remained shut with security personnel on guard turning back visitors and customers lamenting their inability to transact their business.
