*The presentation of the Integrated Management System (IMS) Certification for PNG Gas Limited’s Gas Processing System

Lagos — PNG Gas Limited, a subsidiary of Platform Petroleum Limited, has successfully achieved ISO 9001:2015; ISO 14001:2015; and ISO 45001:2018 Integrated Management System (IMS) Certification of its Gas Processing System.

PNG implements an integrated quality, health, safety and environmental management system (QHSE-MS) that is embedded in its Business Management System processes, policies and procedures.
This certification underscores the company’s firm commitment to excellence in quality, occupational health and safety, environmental (QHSE) integrated management system (IMS), and provision of a holistic framework for managing risks and opportunities.

Engr. John Anim, Chairman, PNG Board of Directors, on behalf of the Board, congratulated PNG Team for the milestone achievement. He said “the certification supports the pillars of the company’s strategic plan which enabled PNG to deploy global best practices, policies and procedures to deliver sustainable shareholders value and excellent public safety record.”
He stated further that the IMS certification, is part of overall initiative towards implementation of the company’s strategic plans aimed at achieving business growth and competitive advantage.

He encouraged PNG Management to maintain the certification through continuous improvement of company’s management system.

In his remark, Engr Gabriel Ilenreh, PNG Managing Director, expressed gratitude to all stakeholders for the achievement.

He acknowledged that the IMS certification “was achieved through support of the Board of Directors, and continuous proactive engagement of employees, customers, host communities, regulators and suppliers based on Nigerian regulations and ISO requirements”.
He stated further that benchmarking of PNG’s systems against global standards by Bureau Veritas demonstrates the maturity and robustness of PNG’s business management system and its readiness to deliver on the company’s expansion and diversification targets.

He stressed that the recent certification was not an icing on the cake but part of a journey. “A journey to maintain a generative QHSE culture that delivers zero lost time incident (LTI), safe operational environment, reliable asset, happy customers
experience and continuous improvement”, he concluded.

PNG Gas Limited (PNG) is the owner and operator of Egbaoma Gas Processing Plant (EGPP) located at Ebedei, Ukwuani Local Government Area, Delta State, Nigeria. The Gas Plant processes 30 million standard cubic feet of Wet Gas daily. PNG’s 5-Year Strategic Plan has a target to process 100 million standard cubic feet of Wet Gas daily in 2029.
PNG was set up in 2013 to commercialize flared gas from OML 38 production field, to address wasteful disposal of natural gas resources and associated deleterious health and environmental impacts to the region.

By eliminating unacceptable practice of gas flaring in the oil field, PNG operations support global gas flaring reduction and climate change agreement targets, while making the ecosystem of its host communities healthier, safer and more sustainable.
EGPP offtakes Wet Gas from the Platform Petroleum/Newcross JV Flow Station to produce Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), Propane, Lean Gas and Natural Gas Liquids (NGL).

The Plant contributes to the supply of LPG and Propane to the domestic market while the Lean Gas and NGL are supplied to the industrial sectors providing direct and indirect job opportunities to support over 400 hundred Nigerian families.
