    11 March 2018, Sweetcrude, Enugu —
Enugu Electricity Distribution Company, EEDC, on Sunday announced the loss of power supply to five communities under its jurisdiction.

The loss of supply occurred as a result of a faulty breaker which supplies power to the Achi 33KV feeder at the Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN’s station.

In a statement by its Head Communications, Emeka Ezeh, the communities affected by the blackout fall under in the Orji River, Enugu State.

The communities are Achi, Inyi, Awgu, Akpugo-Eze, and Isikwe.

Although EEDC said TCN is working on the faulty feeder to restore supply, however, did not say when power will be restored to the affected communities.

“Currently, the TCN crew is carrying out repairs on the breaker, and supply will be restored as soon as this is completed”.

“We sincerely regret the inconveniences this situation has caused our esteemed customers”.
