Lagos — The Minister of Power, Sale Mamman, has been conferred with a fellowship award by the Nigerian Society of Engineers.
In a series of tweets on Tuesday, the Minister said he held the award in high esteem as an attainment of the highest status in professional engineering.
The award was presented to him by the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Mallam Mele Kyari.
“Today, I was conferred with a fellowship by the Nigerian Society of Engineers, I am deeply humbled and honoured to have been found worthy of such award by my peers within the engineering society. My gratitude goes out to all those who have made this possible and to @MKKyari, my brother and dedicated GMD of the @NNPCgroup who was present to present this to me”.
“No doubt, this award means a lot to me, both as a professional Engr. and a public officer of the @NigeriaGov. As a professional, it means the attainment of the highest status as an Engineer”.
He added that the award as an “appreciation” of his “modest efforts in the performance of the power sector under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari.
