11 January 2012, Sweetcrude – Governor Muazu Aliyu of Niger State’s campaign office burnt, Tanko Beji, the state PDP chairman’s office burnt (a sack-load of money in Ghana-Must-Go found by the crowd, Plasmas and items whisked away), Hajiya Jumai Jafaru, the member Niger State House of Assembly campaign office burnt, Senator Dahiru Awaisu Kuta’s residence burnt, Mobil Roundabout destroyed.
A police Inspector was killed and burnt to ashes, NNPC Mega filling station burnt, Old State Secretariat burnt, INEC Office burnt, attempt to burn down Governor’s Mum residence failed following the intervention of the Police and other security agents who released canisters and shot sporadically to disperse the protesters.
State government has imposed a 6 to 6 curfew in the state. Now the crowd are targeting the Niger State Government House. Minna is on fire.
Roadblocks in Abeokuta, by Dapo
In Abeokuta, the Ogun state’s capital, there are lots of roadblocks and protesters taking advantage of innocent people by asking them to pay money before allowing them to proceed to their destinations.
I think this is not proper and awareness should be created that will make protesters stop infringing on other people’s right to move around.
Peaceful protest in Ilorin, Ayeni
Today’s protest is more pronounced than the first two days. Major roads were barricaded by protesters. There are no bonfires, no molestation and most security agents on the roads were civil. It seems people are not ready to give up soon on the protest.

At the garage Offa axis of Ilorin, protesters besieged the roundabout stopping motorists. Meanwhile, an attempt by mobile policemen to disperse protesters proved abortive as they continued with the demontration.
Protest continues in Kaduna, by Nwosu Matthew
Kaduna state governement announced a curfew Tuesday, as business activites were grouded and only security operatives are seen patroling the city centre and environs.
This morning, as l drove around town, some people, about 60 okada riders and some bus drivers, were arrested and kept in a compound used as cell for offenders by the security operatives at the Sabo Market area of Kaduna South, opposite Keystone Bank area U-turn for non compliance with the directives.

At last, Abia joins protest by Chykez Obiefule
ABA – States in the South East zone of the country have been indifferent to the removal of fuel subsidy by the federal government and mass protests that trailed it.
However, lawyers in Aba, the commercial centre of Abia State under the aegis of Nigeria Bar Association, Aba Branch, Wednesday, joined their counterparts across the federation in the ongoing mass protests over fuel subsidy removal.
The protest was peaceful and the residents of Aba applauded the actions of Aba lawyers.
