    *Speakers to discuss developments of the aluminium industry

    01 February 2015, Sweetcrude, Doha –
    The State of Qatar is making preparations to host the first Gulf Aluminium Casthouse Conference “GulfCast”, a three-day event dedicated to highlighting successive and continuous developments of the aluminium industry; centred upon casthouse operations and with distinguished international guest speakers, the event is scheduled for the 2nd – 4th March 2015 at the Sharq Village & SPA in Doha and is organized by Qatar Aluminium “Qatalum”.

    The GulfCast Conference provides a distinctive and comfortable platform for industry leaders to meet under one roof for a spirited exchange of ideas and experiences. Qatalum is proud to welcome a diverse range of international speakers to GulfCast and looks forward to delivering a program of great importance to the future of the flourishing aluminium industry. The 3-day GulfCast program will facilitate stimulating discussions which will focus on casthouse related issues as well as review the most important experiences, latest advancements and future challenges to the sector.

    Qatalum has launched a special portal dedicated to hosting full details about the conference program with biographical information of the conference speakers. Participants willing to attend the conference can log-in and register their participation by accessing the same portal.

    The GulfCast program will facilitate stimulating discussions and thought-provoking presentations focused on industry-related issues including: Safety, pot room – casthouse, liquid metal quality, critical equipment, dross treatment, materials and alloy elements, scrap re-melting and recycling, refractories and lining materials, energy and energy savings, casting technology, host a safety managers panel, LME and the aluminium market, aluminium downstream and competence and innovation.
