Port Harcourt — A group, known as G30 Ibani Voice, has hailed the Final Investment Decision, FID, for the Train 7 project of the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas, NLNG, taken by the company’s shareholders last Friday, to  commence work on the long awaited project.

Founder and president of the group, Dr Fubara Dan-Jumbo, described the project as a good thing and major milestone opportunity for Bonny people.

Dan-Jumbo explained that the project, being in line with the ideals and principles of the group, holds huge opportunities for the people of the area

The group commended the management and shareholders of NLNG for mustering the needed determination to take the all-important decision, noting that the project will open up a new vista of opportunities for job creation and businesses, which will boost the economy of not only Bonny but the nation as a whole.

He explained that the G30 Ibani Voice is a group of technocrats from Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State, while urging the management of NLNG to ensure constructive engagement with all stakeholders.
