24 July 2012, Sweetcrude, ABUJA — CHAIRMAN, House of Representatives Committee on Inter-Parliamentary Affairs, Daniel Reyenieju, has assured Nigerians that the Petroleum Industry Bill, PIB, before the National Assembly would be thoroughly scrutinised before its passage by the legislators.

Also, Chudi Uwazuirike, representing Imo State, assured that the bill will be given all the necessary attention and screening before finally passed into law.

Reyenieju dropped the hint while speaking with newsmen, saying “Nigerians’ hope and aspiration from the PIB, when it becomes law, will remain the guiding principle of the House, and thus the House will fully scrutinise the bill using all possible prisms of analysis and contextualized international best practices to fulfill this onerous task.”
