15 April 2013, Warri – Representatives of the five ethnic nationalities in Delta State have restated their commitment to confront the Federal Government over the alleged illegal sales oil facilities in their communities to non-indigenes without granting them the right of first refusal.
They said their appeals to the FG so far by various individual appears to have fallen on deaf ears, promising that they are now prepared to take their destiny into their own hands except the sales of the Oil Mining Licences, OMLs are reversed immediately.
These are some part of the resolutions taken at the end of an enlarge meeting of stakeholders from the various ethnic nationalities held at the Protea Hotel, Warri and chaired by business guru, Chief Ayiri Emami.
At a press briefing shortly after the meeting that also resolved to engage in further dialogue they warned that it was dangerous to take them for granted, adding that they have been cheated for too long.
Those that represented the ethnjc nationalities include, Chiedfs Johnny Aribogha, Faro Egbo Kome Idhese and Emmanuel Uti respectively.
