Solstad wins Chevron gig

The vessel will carry out installation of multiple wellhead platforms and subsea pipelines in the Gulf of Thailand under the four-year contract due to start in 2016, with extension options for up to three years, the Oslo-listed shipowner said in a statement.

The value of the deal was not disclosed and neither was the name of the project, although US supermajor Chevron is currently developing the Ubon gas and condensate field in the Gulf of Thailand.
