20 February 2015, News Wires – Statoil has suffered a gas production outage due to a compressor failure at its Troll field off Norway, according to gas infrastructure agency Gassco.
The agency raised the volume of the output shortfall to 15 million cubic metres a day on Thursday, after earlier reporting a figure of 10 MMcmd, and said the outage is expected to last up to two days.
The state-owned operator has also been hit by an outage of 5.6 MMcmd at the Sleipner field that could last up to eight days, though Gassco did not disclose the cause of the event.
