02 June 2013 – Norway’s Statoil has awarded a $170 million contract to UK offshore contractor Subsea 7 for work at the Mariner field in the UK North Sea.
Subsea 7 said on Friday that deal comprised the engineering, procurement, installation and construction of 39 kilometres of rigid flowlines and flexible riser systems, in addition to associated subsea structures, protection systems and tie-ins.
Project management and engineering work is starting immediately from the company’s offices in Stavanger, Norway and Aberdeen in the UK.
Offshore activities are due to begin in 2015 and are be completed in 2016.
