He said, “Today we have the whole fuel queues and it is a complete nightmare for me. It has been a lot of work but the reality is that I hurt more like every Nigerian who is at the filling station, I am very emotional about my job and the things that I do.”
The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu and members of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) on Wednesday reached an agreement that will see IPMAN play a major role in the distribution of petrol to the hinterlands and state capitals in Nigeria.
Kachikwu regretted that Nigeria remains one of the biggest oil producing countries in the world that still suffers fuel scarcity.
Muhammed noted that the current Administration inherited a huge catalogue of issues and problems in the downstream sector not limited to arrears of subsidy payments to Oil Marketers, corruption and inefficiencies in the supply and distribution chain, incessant vandalism of pipelines, refineries poor performance, among others.
It added that, “There is no point calling on the minister who has apologised to Nigerians over the fuel crisis to resign; he is doing a great job in the oil and gas industry and so we need him around to assist the President.
