Port Harcourt — The Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN, has announced that it was synergizing with the World Bank on the integration of renewable energy into Nigeria’s national grid.

To this end, TCN said it was currently organising a workshop in conjunction with the World Bank, for stakeholders in the power sector on the integration of renewable energy into the national grid.

TCN on its official X handle said the workshop which is ongoing, has so far addressed the importance of renewable energy for a reliable, cost-effective, and efficient means of generating electricity into the nation’s grid to bridge electricity gaps in the sector.

According to TCN, participants at the workshop are officials from the Ministry of Power; the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, NERC; the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, and Intec Gopa, an international energy consultant firm.
