    Technip consortium awarded contract

    Technip10 July 2014, News Wires – French player Technip has been awarded a lumpsum contract as part of a consortium with PT Wijaya Karya.

    The company won the contract with Pertamina for work at the Matindok gas development project onshore Indonesia.

    Work includes engineering, procurement, construction and installation of gas well pads, flowlines and pipelines, as well as a central processing plant with a capacity of 672 million cubic metres of gas per year.

    It will also include work on gas treatment facilities such as acid gas removals, as well as sulphur removal and related infrastructure.

    Gas from the project will be transported to the Donggi Senoro liquefied natural gas plant.

    Work will be carried out from the company’s operating centre in Jakarta, which will carry out detailed engineering, procurement of critical process equipment, while its partner will carry out construction activities, as well as the procurement of major items.

    Technip expects the work will be finished in the early part of 2016.

    The Matindok gas development project is 100%-owned by Pertamina, and consists of the Donggi, Matindok, Maleoraja and Minahaki fields.
