    Technip grabs $130m contracts in Ghana

    06 February 2012, Sweetcrude, ACCRA – French oil services company, Technip, has been awarded two contracts worth $130.7 million (€100 million) for Phase 1A of Tullow Oil’s Jubilee project, off the coast of Ghana.

    The contracts are for full project management, engineering, fabrication and installation of a new flexible riser, two rigid flowlines and 11 spools/jumpers.

    They also cover the installation of two manifolds and five kilometres of umbilicals.

    To be executed by Technip’s operating centre in Paris, France, the contracts will be supported by the company’s offices in Ghana and Texas, United States, while the risers will be fabricated at the company’s facility in Le Trait, France.

    Technip will use its Global 1200 and Deep Pioneer vessels to carry out the offshore installation work which is scheduled to be completed during the second half of the year.
